New Hampshire

New Hampshire’s greenhouse gas emissions have decreased 9% from 1990-2021, and the state is a net-exporter of electricity, generating more power than it consumes. While more than half of the state’s electricity is powered by nuclear energy, New Hampshire still hosts the last two coal power plants in the Northeast, though they’re scheduled to shut down by 2028.
