Oregon

Oregon has made significant progress on climate action, including through the passage of the Climate Resilience Package in 2023. The state has substantial wind and geothermal resources and is the fourth largest hydroelectric power producer in the country, with well over half of its in-state electricity generated from renewable sources. While the state enacted its emissions reductions targets in 2007, their 2021 emissions were 19% over their 2020 goal, with a net increase of around 88% from 1990 levels.
