Oklahoma

Oklahoma is home to some of the nation’s largest oil and gas reserves, while the state’s vast, open plains provide significant opportunity for wind energy. In 2022, renewable resources accounted for nearly half of the state’s power generation, almost entirely from wind energy. Greenhouse gas emissions have increased by 6% in Oklahoma from 1990-2021, with the largest share coming from the industrial sector.
